Smith point seems to be getting back up with fishing..i heard just recently someone caught a 41" stripper at the Smith Point Marina. Although the smith point outer beach is closed atm, because of piping plovers, the inlet still is a hot spot if you got a boat. Anther spot is the Cranberry docks in mastic beach were blues seem to be biting.
